Privacy Policy – Backroom Box
Last updated: February 10, 2026
Zero Data Collection
Backroom Box is built on a zero-data-collection principle. We do not log IP addresses, user-agents, request paths, usernames, or any user activity. IPs are used transiently in memory for rate limiting only — they are never written to disk or any database.
No Analytics or Tracking
There are no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party data collection tools on this platform.
Encrypted Storage
Files submitted through Backroom Box are encrypted client-side before upload. We hold encrypted blobs only — we cannot read the content of your submissions.
Sessions
If you create a pseudonymous account, a session cookie is set. It contains no personally identifying information beyond a session identifier. Sessions are cleared when you log out.
Local Storage
The only item stored in your browser's localStorage is your theme preference (light or dark mode).
